Utilities - we have changed copmpanies for our Gas and hoping for a saving of £500 this year. Our lighting changes to LED floods in church save us £100 per quarter.
We are in the process of changing our phone and broadband provider to reduce costs.
Thanks for your support and the next collection will be at the Easter service. The collection to date is £174.90 and next collection date is 1st July.
Gifts from our church community - JIGSAW campaign
Thank you for looking at the Giving pack and for those who have made a pledge already, to date a further £227/month pledged and £1080 for the Friends of Christ Church
Christingle raised £198.0 for The Children's Society and Della' boxes raised £182 to date. A cheque has been sent to The Children's Society from the church for £200 and a letter of thanks received.
Unwanted Christmas present sale has raised £180 and cheques for £90 has been sent to the the Leprosy Mission and Christian Aid . Letters of thanks have been received and are on display at the back of the church.
The away day was great fun with lots of thoughtful contributions and things to work on. Such as House groups/reduced rotas/Gods message dsiplayed in church and Friends of Christ Church and improving our giving. So look out for the launch in November of a new pledge.
We had a grant for the Art Cafe from the Discipleship and Evangelism Fund for £360 which is half for new tables and half for new art materials, this is gratefully received and look out for the date of the next Art Cafe.
We are moving ahead all the time and looking for joint ventures and looking to support each other in what we do. The MU now has members from St.John's and St.Annes and is now called the Burntwood Chase Benefice MU.
Look out for the farewell Burntwood Chase Vision our benefice magazine, a good read and only 50p. Also we have our benefice prayer group who meet in our churches to offer up prayers for all.
Remember we are a team working together for all in the benefice at our four churches at Christ Church,St.John - Hammerwich,St.Annes and St.John Community Church

Use of the website
We are happy to report continuing use of the web for enquiries and having helped out on families in the churchyard and a couple of Wedding enquiries and baptism enquiries.
We have a water butt now available and a blue industrial wheelie bin for rubbish.The brown bin is no longer in use due to changes in council policies.
